She turns 6 today! We woke her up with a birthday song and it was the fastest I had ever seen her wake up. She has been excited about her birthday for a week now.
We had decided with her months ago to go to Disneyland for her birthday. And in perfect girl fashion she changed her mind. "Can I send invitations to all my friends? To come to my birthday party?" I had to gently remind her that we were going to Disneyland. She gave me her best sad puppy eyes and says "Aww." I had to stand my ground. My mind wasn't in party mode. So we are going to Disneyland. I daresay that Daddy may have given in.

As I think about her turning 6, I wonder how it is that time has just flown by so quickly. It seems that just yesterday she was a tiny baby I always held close so I could inhale her baby smell. I remember her first official outing, ponytail, trip to the beach, first day of school, first lost tooth-just last week! From a crawling baby to lip gloss user. This girl is tiny in stature, but her personality is larger than life. She's so genuine and sometimes brutally honest. But always honest, and caring and diplomatic. She is all things pink. All things girl. And yes, like I always say, one of my greatest blessings.
