All-In-One Weekend Celebration

To celebrate Juan's birthday, our 16th anniversary and father's day we went to Lake Tahoe for the weekend. It worked out perfectly since Dote was up there with his cross country team for the Lake Tahoe relay. We've lived in California for 13 years and had never gone to Lake Tahoe. It really is as beautiful as people say it is. We will definitely be going back. My parents were able to accompany us, which made it so much more fun! We took in the sights, followed Dote on his grueling uphill run (he had one steep hill to run!), shopped, swam and ate some awesome food at the swanky restaurant at the hotel/casino/resort we stayed at. I hope we can do it again! Here are some pics:

Here's a picture of my parents with Sophia and Sebastian at Inspiration point, the views were breathtaking. The bathrooms were also breathtaking-they really did take your breath away. So nasty. Let's just say I have never seen a hole so deep with such a huge pile of CRAP!

On all of our road trips I always have to take a driving picture. It's really for my own amusement. Plus, we love our driver!

Note: I don't know who those crazy men were sitting so close to the edge of a sheer drop of several hundred feet.

Juan with Sebastian and Elijah. Those two boys had way too much fun climbing on the enormous boulders. To keep Sebastian busy we played "Who can find the biggest rock?" It kept him looking out for them instead of climbing on them. And that's a good thing.

Hi Jane!
I loved reading your latest blog about your visit to Tahoe.
That is where Bryan and I went for our Honey moon almost 8 years ago.
What a beautiful place.
We've been wanting to go back one day with the kids.
It's good to take time with the family and it's good to hear you had a wonderful time building up memmories with your loved ones.
